We should all know - Quotation marks

Is it just me, or does it seem that more and more, signs in public have GLARING grammatical errors? I'm the first to admit I use too many commas, but I wouldn't say "comma's". Here is and example of what I am talking about:

Is it just me or does this imply that ringing the bell might get you more then you bargained for?

Who are we thanking? Who is this so-called "god" you speak of?
